*    Requires plan for classroom management and crisis intervention support. In the absence of a plan, at least one full-time paraprofessional is required in each special class.

***    Instructional period ratio requirements for specific disability categories cannot be exceeded for children served by teachers assigned to teach multiple categories of children. For example, an elementary intervention specialist could serve no more than 10 students with emotional disturbance as part of the 16 children he/she would serve during an instructional period.
